Leaving CDs in changer?
I want to set :flamer: Bose on fire. My player is giving my error messages and is not playing CDs. I am stuck with a tape deck until I get it fixed. They claim that it is because I played a burned CD in it. Has anyone had this experience?
Any more problems with my whip and Im gonna :yack:

Changers are hard on CDs
I have used CD changers on various Hondas for about ten years. While I haven't experienced any trouble with heat per se, the changer mechanisms scratch the disc surface over time.
My solution is to burn copies of ALL CDs I place in the changers in my TL and the wife's S2000. When they get scratched too much and skip, I throw the copies away and make more.
Never experienced difficulites with the Alpine/Bose units using PROPERLY burned CDRs.

It should not be a problem for you to store CDs in the changer.
I am not sure what you have in -dash or trunk mounted changer but it should be no problem as I have done it with the trunk mount for many years. I have the trunk mount in the TL & the car sits in suns hot heat or cold temps of the winter. The 94 ACCORD I had also had the factory changer in the trunk. I had that car for 6years with no problems with stored Cds in it.
