No, once you turn off your headlights (into OFF position or Parking lights) your fog lights turn off automatically, therefore if the switch is in on/off position it doesn't matter, unless you have the "fog-light mod" which makes you able to turn on your fogs with parking lights.

You can leave the fog light switch in whichever fashion you like. Once power is cut to the lights power is also cut to the fog lights. I leave my switch on at all times and have the fog light mod done so when I turn my parking lights off the fog lights turn off with them.

It's also pretty cool at night when you lock your car with the remote

*LOL*
Everyone's messin with you man.
2000 TL does not come with fogs... thus no fog light switch. You can get the switch and install it yourself though. That what Songoku and I (along with others) have.
I have my PIAA's connected to the parking lights (some ppl call it the Fog mod), so when I arm, disarm my car, the parking lights and fog lights flash. It's nice a bright at nite.

I am quite aware of the 2000TL not comming with foglights.
I have had my car getting close to 3years now & have been a member of this board for over 2yrs & the old old TL board way before that. If anybody knows what the 1999,2000,2001 TL came with it should be me. My point was ACURA forgot to put the switch in just like they forgot to make the factory foglights to go in the foglight cutouts in or cars.

As for Acura not making the foglights for your car...nothing they do makes sense...just like they didn't make fogs for your car they didn't make a body kit for the CL line (their sports coupe directed toward the 16-30 yr crowd), yet the do for the TL (their mid size sedan directed toward the 30+ crowd).
