LATCH system center cover

I have a broken rear latch system center cover on a 2003 TL-S. Anyone know the correct name for this part and/or part number? I need to order the cover/door and the spring. If anyone has had to buy one from a dealer, what did it cost?

Thanks in advance. Sorry for the boring first post.

It's the cover for the center LATCH/Child seat anchor... a plastic door that pops up. There is a little spring on the right side of the door. It's at the top of the seat in front of the sub.

That is pretty funny. Mine was broken by a tint installer doing the rear window. If you find these online let me know, I will do the same.

Thumbs up

Great thanks. That piece of plastic doesn't look like $30, but the tint installer will pay for it so no big deal.

It is not my car, it is my girlfriend's. She just got it recently so she is pretty upset by anything broken on the car.

I have never been on these forums before, it's nice to find such a responsive helpful environment.

Yeah that's exactly how this one broke... and I found the spring. I might just fix it with JB WELD and mold a new nub on there.

I'm in need of #8 in that diagram, which I assume is the same piece you're talking about, but the site doesn't even list it as being available for purchase. Any idea what it's called so that I can try and source it somewhere?

That cover was only on the 99s. on the 2000-2001 they had #18, 2002-03 they had #20

Super, thanks! Gotta love the help on here. Hated grabbin' my ankles to the tune of $30 for a piece of plastic but it bugs me every time I look in the rear view mirror.
