As you all know, I normally don't even bother with these toy cars. Today, I just finished golfing and was on my way to drop off a computer (hint, had a bag of clubs and a pc in my car). I'm driving very normal as I'm trying to conserve gas. This blue Civic Si with a Rice Ass spoiler and his bad ass 15 inch wheels pulls next to me and takes off. No problem, no big deal, I get that all the time and I just let them go. He's in front of me as we both approach a red light. At the last minute, he switches lanes so I can get next to him. Got the hint...still didn't want to race. Light turns green, he takes off, I just accelerate normally, at this rate I would have hit 60 in like 12 seconds or so. He cuts in front of me and slows down. We approach another red light and at the last minute he changes lane again forcing me to get next to him. OK, I'M PISSED OFF NOW...I'm gonna WHUP HIS ASS and then roll my windows and laugh at him. I hear his engine rev, I turn traction off (big mistake on my part). Light turns green, he takes off and I'm sitting there peeling out for a sec. then off I went. He kinda had a head start and by the time I hit 30 I caught him and when I hit 2nd gear I pulled VERY easily, and by the time I hit 3rd, he was a good 2 or 2 1/2 car lengths behind me. I slow down, wait but he slowed down too as if he didn't want to get next to me or something. I cut in front of him, approach the next red light and I do what he did to me, change lanes at the last minute, except this guy doesn't pull up all the way. His front bumper must have been next to my rear door, as if he was embarrassed to face me cuz I was going to roll my windows down and really say to him "I guess Motor Trend was wrong, the TL IS faster than 7.4 0-60, huh?"

What a DAMN idiot. I don't even give him any credit for trying cuz he was just DUMB. At least when I race someone I know I'll give him/her a good run. I felt like a rat(the Civic) was trying to bite a python (my TL). What a freakin joke. This is the main reason I don't even bother with Civics. Can you immagine how far I would have been if we actually got to race all the way up to 100+mph.

I bet this guy is thinking, "how did he beat me so bad when I have these bad ass 15 inch rims on like 60 rated tires, and my car's a baby Supra spoiler".

Hope the guy browses this forum...If you were on 236 at around 6:25PM and got your ass kicked by a White TL, get turbo or NOS then come see me.

Hahaha... I pulled up behind this riced out VW Golf complete with stickers and blowpipe when I was going to the gym. Normally I wouldn't think much of it but then I saw his plates: "VTECBS". So I guess I HAD to stand up for all VTECs out there. Needless to say, I saw him in my rearview mirrors after a few seconds. Too bad I had to make a left turn to the gym b/c he wanted a rematch.

I was at a light the other night and these two SI's (one modded out and the other slightly modded) pulled up on either side of me on a three lane road. They kept revin up and jumping forward. My wife and kids were in the car and I looked over to my wife and she gave me that glaring "you better not look". Of course I conceded. They continued to follow us gettin behind us and in front of us, then to each side at the next red light. My wife was getting irritated by them and she looked at me and said, "toast those rice burners". I was a little astonished at her saying this but of course I would comply. The light turned green and I let them get about a car length ahead and then gunned it, in SS mode. I wasn't even pushing it, went to about 6000 rpm and dumped to second, I was, at this point, half a car length ahead. Hit around 4000 and the VTEC kicked in and I was gone. Pulled up to the next light and got a thumbs up, even more gratifing was the grin on my wife's face.

Actually, I don't have mods anymore except kit and fogs. At the time I destroyed the Civic I had all the mods on. But it don't matter, I beat up on one the other day in my TL (bone ass stock too ). I got to give Civic Si's props, they take off pretty good, that's about it.

one of my co-workers just got a used teg with all riced out mod, huge ass spoiler, rice low profile wheels, new shifter, exaust, intake, big ACURA sticker cover the whole back window and it's as low as the stock market... I smoked his ass... no competition at all. by the time I hit 60, he was like 8~10 cars behind me... he didn't believe it at all, raced him 5 times, he just cried himself to sleep man... so dumb... o yeah, just smoked an IS300 today in heavy T-storm. it was fun.
