key placement for starter???

key placement for starter???

I installed a viper791 alarm/starter today, everyting works fine, except i dont konw where to put the key. When i click the starter button, it cranks, but doens't start fully. pretty sure cause the key isnt there. I tried holding it aroudnt eh iginition, but same thing. Any ideas??

You shouldn't be installing anything. You just told us that you don't know what you're doing.

Buy a DEI 556HW or 556UW. Follow the instructions. Most car audio shops will have this in stock. Good luck.

lol thnx man, i just thought i could keep the key somewhere close and use a copy of it without the transponder, but guess not. gota learn sometime, thnx again

If you use the 556HW it will not require that you use a key. It is an Acura/Honda transponder code learning module. It is a bit tricky to program but read through the instructions. This costs about $50 bones.

If you use a 556UW it will require that you lose a key to the module. But you can tuck that module up under the dash wherever you like. Easy. Also costs $50 bones.
