Just installed Optima Battery , car stalls a bit ?

so I just swapped out the oem battery for an red top 75/35 optima battery , the car stalls a bit when i do a complete stop at a light/stop sign , i can feel the pedals shaking a bit and the rpm going up/down a bit... could it be my alternator ?

While i am not sure if this goes for the TL most cars computer reset when changing out the battery and I would guess this is the case for you. Just let it idle for about 10-15 mins and then drive around like normal it should fix itself pretty quick

this is true about the computer resetting. i have found over time that every time you reset the computer it will take at least a day or two before the computer relearns how to idle properly. i'm usually not able to let it sit and idle unattended for 15 minutes, but that might work.

needless to say don't worry about it. it will go away.

It's just relearning the idle cycle. For the quickest fix, unhook the battery again for a few minutes. Then when you reconnect it, start the car and don't touch anything for about 10 minutes.
