Jumping the Service Connector to diagnose problems?

Does anyone know how to jump the service connector, or actually where it is located, to diagnose any problems that you may be having?

I saw it on this site here:

http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134111

please let me know if you know how to do this, or if it works this way without messing up your car.

My a/c has been giving me funny readouts (22 degrees) and I want to know if this can be diagnosed by jumping the connector.

I don't know if this is only for check engine lights only, but I still am curious as to know how to do it.

Well, the plug in a TL is located behind the little bin between the heated seat switches. The bin itself is kind of the plastic cover for it. You pull the top of the plastic bin towards you.

I guess the picture on the site shows you how to jumper it!
Cool.
I dont want to try it though... lol. Dont want to risk it.

Anyone tried this?
