Was googling around and found this interesting link, HERE of some JDM Honda Inspires (2nd gen TL equivalent). Very interesting to see the right hand drive. The third one down was especially interesting (http://page8.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h56328793) Few differences I noticed are that some have 2.5L engines (was 3.2 optional?), and only the type S's (2001 and up) have 5 speed ATs (rest had 4 spds). Also I noticed some of them are Acura 3.2TL badged. Do they do that just like how we change our TL's to inspire badged? Interesting...

 

I think except for the rims that is a really clean car.

Some clean looking cars. I can't picture driving my car with a 2.5L though. Seems like it would be wayyyy too slow. Odd seing it with single exhaust as well.

I agree the OEM fogs on the 99-01's look great.

 

This one is fucking sick, its painted that blue pearl color availiable on some of the RSXs.. its making me think of a new paintjob lol. Isnt it funny how they put Acura emblems on them over there? I should give them the real deal and trade them for my left hand drive. Then we would both be happy, lol.

 

^^^^ Yup, it's called VIVID BLUE PEARL 05-06 RSX had it. I loved that color.

 

Does the Canadian A-spec come standard with that color (along with black)?

 

anyone notice that the oem navi has been changed and also its kinda odd that it has tan interior but a black steering wheel and a modulo emblem in the middle.

 

also, did anyone notice the Aspec front grill emblem

Yup alot of ppl who go for the VIP look with their Inspires get the USDM Acura badges in Japan. I was surfing on Rakuten (Japanese auction site similar to eBay) and saw that USDM rear Acura emblem sets go from $100-$200. I had a harder time finding the JDM emblems in Japan lol

That blue one is the first one I have ever seen with wheels I like, but what is up with those fricken window ventshade things? It almost seems like they all have them.

Woooo nice color, I kind of like my friend's Blue RSX Type-S. Now it is funny how they tagged on the Acura logo while we are tagging on the Honda emblem

JDM rear bumpers are shorter then USDM, i believe the lip will work, i have a pic somewhere on my computer.. ill try and find..

 

You have to cut it and shorten the sides to make it work

 

I think it's funny how we want to switch to JDM and they want to switch to USDM.

I'm not sure about the 1st gen, but I'm pretty sure the 2nd Gen was a US only car.

Nah. It kind of makes sense. They wanna be unique. And in terms of being VIP, Acura is (well.. supposedly anyway) more luxurious than Honda.

Also, if anything, I believe the UA5 was manufactured (either in whole, or in substantail part) in the U.S. and shipped to Japan, so it makes more sense to me anyway, that they want to change it to USDM badges.

Also, I'm not 100% sure, but isn't that badge on the steering wheel a "Honda of America" Badge?
