Itrip and 01 TL Stereo

I was wondering...does anyone have an itrip for the ipod in use in their 01 TL? I've noticed that mine only works without static when it sits in the rear half of the car where the passengers are. In my Lexus SC, the antenna has superior range and I can stand outside of the car in the front pretty far from the antenna and get great reception w/o static. Is this caused by the range of the antenna in the Acura TL?

In my '04 TL, the best place, it seemed, to put my ipod w/ itrip was on my sun visor. I have it in a case with a clip on the back. In that location there is virtually no static. Give it a try if you haven't already.

thanks for the input....I tried it there--the best place for me is in the back of the car..but that's kinda dangerous if i want to switch a song. The sun visor is okay, but there's still static. I find it kind of weird that the minute i move the itrip past the sunroof, it works extremely well. I just don't know what could be wrong..I just want to know if others with the TL have the same experience.

Oh, I already have a changer in the car. The shame is the Acura has reception problems but my Lexus SC works very well with the Itrip. No static in the Lex whatsoevere, even when the itrip is in the Acura parked next to it. Oh well, guess the design of the Acura's antenna-in-rear glass is weak.
