Interior problem

Ok so you know how we have the cup holders with the two halves that close. Well there is a little button in front of the cup holders and I didn't know what that was for. I think it is supposed to pop open the doors for the cup holder. Unfortunately mine doesn't do that. Anybody know a way to fix it? I know this is pretty lame, but I find it annoying that something doesn't work like it's supposed to.

Mine stopped working and the dealership replace it. Do you have trim pieces on top of the doors?

What do you mean trim pieces. And your saying that if I take it to a dealership they will fix it for free, or do I have to pay.

More likely they will fix it at no charge if your car is less than 50k miles, and no visual signs of abuse.

Mine was still under warranty, so they didn't hesitate to replace it for free. I used to have the trims pieces on the doors. I think when I tried to pull out the removeable section it jammed the doors. The trims pieces didn't allow the doors to open fully to remove the cup holder.
