Ok, id be willing to help you out with this one since alot of guys on here are tired of hearing the same old questions. Thats why they always tell people who are still researching diff mods to use the search cuz most of them have been done by tons of TL owners. Anyways, ill help you out cuz i know exactly how it is to be in your shoes. Check it, i have PIAA Super White LED's in my Map lights, Courtesy Lights, Dome Light, Trunk light, and license plate light. Makes a big difference. Looks so much better then that ugly stock yellowish regular bulb color. LED's can be a little on the pricer side then regular bulbs of course but its worth it! Install is very easy. You just pull the stock bulbs out and plug in the LED bulbs. Removing the cover is CAKE! COMMON SENSE IF YOU ASK ME. Here are a few pics of the LED's i have, just click on this link to an old thread that i started. https://acurazine.com/forums/ramblings-12/gothika-122842/
If you REALLY REALLY NEED INSTALL PICS THAT BAD CUZ YOU CANT FIGURE OUT HOW TO TAKE THE COVERS OFF, i can post a couple pics but i dont see a need for install pics unless you REALLY REALLY REALLY NEED THEM. K. Just let me know. I ordered my PIAA LED's on Ebay from an online store guy. Id have to look back to tell you exact price i paid for all mine. If you got any other question just ask me. Later.

And these LEDs don't require a resistor in series?

these are the 2 sets i got ...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWN%3AIT

the 9 led ones just fit in the map light holders. they are brighter than the 6 bulb but i woulda got a set of the 6 bulbs if i had to do it again. he also does combined shipping and it takes a little over a week to get here.

good luck

The LED bulbs do not require resistors unless there's a "bulb out" indicator. Eg: turn signals that blink too fast require resistors.

Also LED bulbs are "polarized" so if the LED bulbs don't work, take them out and rotate them so the contacts are reversed.

Interesting. Why would the dash LED bulb mod require a resistor in series and this would not? One would assume a map light would have comparable voltage and current.

its all about if it blinks on or off or something. since a led requires very very little current to light up. if you send a pulse of current through in lets say a blinker it blinks more than it should since the led doesn't use up all the current.

its something like that. atleast from what i have been told
