Interested in buying the 02 TL-S

Read great things about the Tl-S and am very interested in buying one in the next few months. Drove one for awhile and it drives great! Better power than the IS300, more affordable than the 330 (I know, not exactly in the same class but there was nothing else that I was interested in looking at).

Just a question for all of you, I've read on this site about a number of you having tranny problems, but I have not seen any published articles about this issue. Is this a hidden topic for Acura (for obvious reasons)?

How many of you have experienced tranny issues?

Hi Flash--
Well, I am still breakin' in my new TL-S, and I am very pleased so far (it's getting old--nearly 800 miles on it)
I read about the tranny problems here--some may be legit for sure, but some others may be because revvin' to 3 grand and dropping the shifter into D may cause pre-mature transmission death Of course, present company is excluded!
Seriously, I think you will be pleased with one of these--they're beautiful, they ride well, and they are fast. Happy Hunting!

No problems here either!! Don't let the tranny conversations get you down. Sh!t happens with every car, that's what a warranty is for. Check out the TL-S forum in here for some more info!!

I'm waiting for my 3rd tranny for my TLS with only 27000 miles on it. I've also had a water leak, warped rotors, and a few minor squeaks and rattles. But I love my TLS and would have nothing else. The car is just that great.
