those are some fast asses. starting from 0 probably we won't be able to keep up with them, but i think after 100 we will catch up again?

Two totaly dfferent kinds of cars. Type-R vs TL-P=Teg. Types vs type-r i say would be type-s, unless the type-r driver is really good, then it might be even. with mods, you might keep up, with enough modding youd be past it. I seen a modded teg race a modded type-s and the type-s CL blew it away everytime by many car lengths. There was a video on one of the sites.

i was wondering that too, i raced a integra GSR with minor mods, (exhast n such no turbo), with my 2001 tl, no mods n i killed it from the start, check out this site Car-stats.com, it has stats for cars (stock), from what the numbers say it says a TL-S would beat by .5 secs, a TL would tie basically. i don't know if they did this tests with the sportshift or not, by the way would does it make a difference; and the tests were done by Car and Driver Magazine so i guess the numbers are correct.

STATS

Some 0-60 and 1/4 mile numbers from Motor Trend:

3.2 TL/00 6.7/15.2
TL Type S 6.3/14.7
Integra Type R/00 6.2/14.8

It will be reaction time at the light between the Type S and Type R

Question has been posted many times before.... I traded in my '98 Type R for a TL (family thing...baby seat wouldn't fit in the back). Even with my "Comptech" TL, the Type R with an equivalent driver would eat your lunch. In a straight line you could atleast stay in his rear view mirror, but through the curves, you'd be left so far back that he'd forget he was racing you.

What does your car run 0-60 with your mods, just wondering how much the mods would help out in performence bacause my TL is stock and I wanted to know if thousands of dollors would make a difference. thanks

i think our (stock)TL-P won't even close to type-R in 0-60,
and after shift into our 4th gears will be even worst.
I think GS-R will be even mach to our (stock)TL-P.
A TL Type-S will have better chance to agains Type-R.

I don't think we have a chance above 100 mph. Our 4th and 5th gears are OD...

All I wanna say here is that I don't see any point drag race on the street. I think it's a lot more fun on the road course track. Cuz drivers counts more. And I am sure the type R will handle WAY BETTER...

Then again, it's 2 totally different stody.

With drag racing, you can use NOS, and on a road course, you can't really use NOS...

When my TL just had CAI, a GSR with intake and exhaust pulled away from me from 80mph, then it took me 120mph to catch him. I don't know if he just stopped at 120mph. Be careful, those things have better high end than TL, IMO.

Like I said earlier...I went from a '90 Integra RS to a '94 GSR (with intake) to a '98 Type R to a 2000 TL (with Comptech add-ons) ... definitely NOT a question. Type R will rip a TL (driver ability held constant). Straight line 0-60 might not seem like a whole lot, but in reality not as close as the numbers indicate. Through the curves, just not close at all. Really not much more to say..........

On the drag strip, probably tie. On the Track, I dont know yet, I would say Type R. At an Autocross, the type R. In mid range speeds, the TLs by FAR (I'm pretty sure the TLs would spank my S2000 in mid speed excel). At the top 100+, the TL would, it has a much higher top speed and would be more stable with a larger wheel base.

i beat a Type R 2 times from 2 lights after 70 MPH he just gave up. he had bolt ons but if you ask me bolt ons on a ITR actually hurt proformance more than help it. a friend of mine always looses in his 2000 Lude 5 speed to me. my TL is compleatly stock. we raced at a local track and i was beating his times by at least .1 to .2 secs consistantly.
the ITR is a good match it is all about the driver on their part unless they really know how to launch and have the traction for a clutch dump and can hook up without bogging or burning the tires too much you can take them off the line and keep the lead till 100 MPH then it's your ass
