Intake Question HELP WANTED!!
Hey guys i know most of you have intakes installed on your TLz. I have a 2000 TL and looking for an intake. I see there is AEM , injen and comptech that offer these intakes, from your experiance which one is the best, sounding and best one to enhance performance as well. One of my friend has got a 98 Maxima with Injen intake, its not the short one with cone filter. In this case the pipe goes all the way down to the bumper, he mentioned that in his max he had to relocate the fuse box and drill a hole in the body so that the pipe can go down to the space between the front bumper and the inner wheel well molding. The max has got hissing sound to it on idle, but once you thump on it and let that thing out on the road it roars like a beast, and he has metioned that ppl ask him if therez a V8 under the hood. Anyways what i m looking for the TL , is something that roars once you rev it hard, and is also helpfull in lettin more air into the motor.

i went with the INJEN which i hear has overall more growl over the AEM (correct if i'm wrong). AEM IS cheaper than INJEN however. i got my POLISHED INJEN CAI for $255 shipped. -shawn

and the icebox is the quiettest correct?
The icebox also doesnt go as far down as the others, only behind the turn signal I believe, so if water is an issue you may want to look into this.

there was a recent thread where someone in the family said that AEM has the worst customer service while trying to obtain parts for his CAI. If your not concerned about customer service then the choice is up to you. just passin this along if it means anything.

thanx for your response guys, what about AEM V2 , i m considering either AEM V2 or Injen. Does anyone here have the V2 on there TL?, and how do you think it differes from the conventional intakes, i know the V2 has dual diameter piping, they say it makes the airflow better or something, any comments on that?
