i need some help on intake mounts. i just bought an short ram intake and it came with two metal brackets. one short on bent at 90 degrees and another long one about 6inches that isnt bent. my question is, do i need to support the intake after the filter is on? or did they give the mounts to confuse me? also when i got the intake they had given me a rubber sleeve to connect the pipe to the throttle body. is it nesscessary for the metal pipe itself to go into the throttle body , b/c i have about 1/2 inch between the metal pipe and the throttle body? it is although connected by the sleeve that is clamped down from both side? thank you

 

you should find somewhere one of the brackets can mount so it can support itself. The intake pipe shouldn't go into the throttle body, it should just be right up against it and then held there by the clamp. If theres a very small gap in between it shouldnt be a problem tho.

 

the intake wont go into the TB but sits real close and is clamped w/ the rubber sleeve. im not to sure about the brackets cus iv never even seen a short ram intake.
