PM me and we can discuss.

Well I had Hondanutty drop out for the fall....hope you get well, and hopefully see you next spring. Since that job fell through, I might be able to get my DIY up a little sooner. Keep an eye out!

Wow indeed.

Out of curiousity are there any pics of this mod done on the instrument cluster with the white face? I think all the ones I've seen thus far are on the one with the black face.

The pics that I posted were from my car...2003 Type-S A-Spec. It has the silver faced gauges.

Not knocking it but fuel gauge appears to have hot spot & temp. gauge looks dimmer compared to other gauges. Looks cool.

Ahh, didn't notice that. Thnx.

You wouldn't happen to have any daytime pics, would ya? Or even evening pics before the sun goes down?

Its the camera...its a little more sensitive than our own eyes. There is no hotspot when you see it with the naked eye. I wouldn't have let A-spec leave if there was one like that. Although I will admit type-s gauges are a little more difficult to deal with.

A-Spec, nice pics...I forgot about you posting some. Contact me when you want the rest done, and to look at your cluster again.

I was working out a prototype a while ago, but with the cost associated with it, it just wasnt feasable. So I went back to the old install and tried to improve it as much as I can....even including an voltage regulator to control spikes. Now its just to sit down and gather the images of the install and create a DIY. Along with a computer crash, my nieces wedding, my roomie moving out....things just keep getting in the way.

I'm around from time to time to answer questions though, as best I can if you plan to try it.

I haven't posted any DIY's on here. I did give my ideas and DIY to Ledautomotive a long time ago. Now I do it a completely different way for installs. It's not plug and play with my install anymore.

I would agree with Ontario. This was a hard conversion on the Type-S...I"m sure it will take quite some time for the DIY to be completed

Remember that's 16 degrees celsius, not fahrenheit

16C is a pretty decent temperature... just around the perfect mark for me where it's not too warm and not too cold.

No doubt.

Gauge cluster in hand.

Think you could make some $$$ on the side putting these gauge kits together.

Time consuming though.

Ontario, are your leds dimmable? I am ready to jump into a mod like this but am very far away. Glad to get some pointers and parts. Did some LED modding on a different application but would love to hit up my backlights . . . not to mention my back lights, lol.
