Has anyone installed this before? Do you think it's good? Thanks!

A friend of mine had lo-jack on his heavily modd'ed Integ. It still got ripped apart... and when he got back, all that was left was the body frame. I don't think lo-jack helped him much.

LoJack won't help your car from getting stripped down, but it will help the police find your car if it was stolen.

Also, some insurance companies will give you a discount for having LoJack installed.

I had it installed when I bought the car. Although it won't prevent your car from being stolen or stripped it does give you that extra level of protection if the alarm is defeated. Only u can decide if it's worth it. Insurance did give me a discount for it.

Just buy a self powered siren, and hook it up to your alarm like I did. The only way to turn that b*tch off is to either turn it off by key, or ditch it in a field somehwere, cause nothin' is going to be able to stop that thing from howlin'.

If you call the police within a short while of your car being stollen, they will be able to find your car. If you notice your car is missing about many hours after the actual time it was stolen, then it is unlikely you would want it back once it is a skeleton frame. I think it is worth it for the insurance reduction, and if they steal it in the middle of teh night and the alarm woke you up, you will get it back.

Where did you get prices like that. I got Lowjack for like 800 bucks when I bought my 98 Accord, and it payed for itself with the money I saved on insurance within the first two years. But I never heard a Lowjack for 100 bucks?

Well, even with a high coverage level and low deductables adding LowJack would have reduced my annual premium by $2.... Yup, only two bucks, and I live in one of the very highest (usually in the top 3) auto theft town (per capita) in the US... I would have thought that it would have helped since I think my town was #1 last year (again)[#1 as in highest theft rate].

I was told that some thieves carried bottles of high density spray foam. They sprayed the foam at the sirens and the sirens were silenced immediately. So make sure the sirens are well hidden and cannot be accessed from above the hood or underneath the car.

lo jack has its own installers that come to the dealer and install the vehicle recovery portion.. the stage one which is just vehicle recovery is usually like 500, I got the lojack 4 which is vehicle recovery and alarm for 800, and it saves me a total of 25 percent off my comprehensive insurance yearly. not bad.. it is something although I did get 15 percent off my jeeps comprehensive and that only has the shitty jeep alarm that came with 94 grand cherokees.
