Just got these installed the other day the pictures kinda look like crap. ill get some better ones soon but these will suffice.


they are the 9 LED's per bulb. very bright even though the pictures dont look so. (bad camera settings) i have them in all 5 sockets in the car. very bright. i can see them clearly through 20% tint when i unlock the car. they are blinding when you try to drive but they look awesome. Looks nice Man! I put 9led whites in my interior and blue in my courtesy door lights. Finish it off w/ trunk & license plate light.

i have hyper whites in the trunk and the liscense plate. there not Led's but still look good the one in the truck isnt very bright. i want to get the whites for the trunk and the liscense plate but i forgot to order them when i placed the order. stupid me getting all excited. but it still looks good ill put up some picks next time i go over to my parents. the pics are on there camera my battery died.

Can somebody post a white leds? Im curious what it look likes vs the blue leds...

 

im thinking of going with the white LED's in my map light and keeping the rest how they are. the super bright blue hurts my girls eyes so im thinking of maybe just the passangers side with the white.

 

they look nice...

i went with white instead because a blue car and blue leds looks too blue and kinda ricey.

i still need to get a dome light bulb but leds rock...

 

i think that the blue dome light is a must but the map lights and the door lights are just for show. but the blue dome light looks incredible.

No you can not buy these types of led's at circuit city or BB or autobarn. Your best bet is the internet.....My advise to you is w/ led's don't go cheap....You get what you pay for in my opinon. LED's are funny they sometimes burn out or flicker. But at www.Tec-Toyz.com from my experience if you have any problems you can send them back to him and he will replace them free of charge lifetime warranty..Other companys which may be cheaper give you a hard time about replacing the bulbs.

 

brian at www.Tec-Toyz.com is a real good seller. quick to respond good people person and very good product i would recomend him to anyone. and the lights look great. very bright and very clean. i get compliments on mine almost daily just from opening my door.

 

VVV this one is taken from under the open drivers door facing the back of the car didnt come out good. looks really dim but it really lights up the whole side of the car. (camera focused on the brightest part right under the door)

3 Blue LED's for the Doors & The Dome Light.

(Maybe 1 More Blue LED for the License Plate)

i think that would look good im thinking of changing out one or both of my map lights to the white. sometimes its just too blue. but ya i think that would be real nice looking the liscense plate light and the trunk light would look good IMO.

 

Just make sure that blue is ok on the license plate for your state because you could get pulled over for it. Also did you see they have UV lights to! but only in 6 led form factor.

 

yea i think blue map lights would be too blue....im probably gonna buy them from ebay (tec toyz) the one thats at 24.xx+4 shippin thats for 5 lights which is not bad at all. Im gonna do what i said above.

& 1 more question...is it illegal in New York for a blue license plate light?

 

not sure what the law is in NY but the white looks good in the liscense plate. dont forget about the trunk. there is a light in there too

 

yea the trunk im not concerned about. I hardly ever go in there....are there lights at the pedals or on the passenger side at your feet?


also is your dome light 6 LED's...on ebay for the 1999 tl tec toys sells the dome light in the set w/ 6 leds. is that bright enough?

 

i doubt that there are lights by your feet my 2000 doesnt have them just in the door map and dome.

I wouldn't do blue led for your license plate. Especially if you have tints or something....your just screaming for Police attention. Try the hyper white 9led...not illegal and still has a slight blue tint

ok now im getting a little confused. I was looking at the other thread about brightness and now have new ?'s...

ok so the dome bulb in the 99 tl is that 39 mm or 31 mm....tec toys only has 39 mm w/ 6led so i thought it was 39 mm but then i went to the little compatibility chart site and it says D3175 is the model, and on another site..i think superlumination.com shows that the 3175 is under 31 mm....what is it? 31 or 39?

also in regards to brightness i want a blue dome light but im thinkin the 6LED wont be bright enough and ppl in the other forum were leaning towards just a blue bulb from superlumination..what do u think Rpappi? dont u have the 6LED in the dome?

just email brian he will tell you everything that you wanna know. its not a wedge bulb. its a tube bulb. just ask brian. there are a few more than 6 lights in it too quite bright. looks really good.

Not the best pic in the world, but it's much greener when it's dark outside! And as for my door led, they got SIX different colors jumps one after one....

 

looks good i dont know about the color changing one. but the green is different i like that. good work.

I installed the blue LED lights and all of them work except the front passenger door side. I replaced the fuse, but still no luck. Does anyone know how to solve this? Any help will be appreciated.

What exactly is the map light and the dome light? I think i know what the dome light is, but i'm not too sure about the map light

 

the dome light is the one in the center of the car on the ceiling. and the map lights are the lights inbetween the visors infront of the sunglasses holder.
