Instaled wood wheel now aligment is messed up!
Hey guys,
I was installing my wood wheel yesterday, had NO problems until I got to centering the wheel. At first I thought it was centered, but then during a test drive I noticed I had to hold the wheel to the right because the car would pull to the left. So I went back and adjusted the wheel to the next tooth on the left. Now the wheel is centered but I went for a drive and noticed the car is pulling in the opposite direction, but just a tad bit not like how I had it the first time. It feels like its really out of center, to go straight I have to hold the wheel to the left just a tad bit. I went to my local mechanic who told me to get an alignment and have them center the steering wheel and it should be all good.
NOTE: Alignment was perfect before swapping wheels, the alignment was done 3 months ago.
Is it normal that I messed up my alignment, No where in the instructions does it mention to get an aligment after install.

Unless you've been driving down train tracks, there's no way you could've messed up your alignment in 3 months. At least not under normal driving. As for the steering wheel issue, I would take it to somewhere that does alignments and ask them if they can just center the wheel for you, sans entire alignment.

And i bought my wheel brand new from Mechanicsville HONDA in VA, got it shipped for 200$.
They stille have 2 kinds of wheels left, the taupe type-s wheel with woodgraing, and the black type-s wheel with wood.

remove wheel, replace correctly.
there is no way youre suspension will disalign from installing it. my wood wheel has been a lil crooked for a while but im too lazy to realign it, but it did nothing to my alignment whatsoever.

maybe get it realigned, cause you might have hit a pothole or something right before you swapped the wheels, which knocked it out
or you are just being more picky about it now (and it was there before) because you had just put on the wheel
but also make sure to be testing the "pull" on a known road (and the same road as before)(with going the same direction as before too), cause the crown (slope) of the road can easily change the pull to the other side

the alignment hasn't changed just because you swapped out steering wheels what has change is the Steering wheel and how the splines are aligned relative to each other, meaning the angular location on your old wheel is a little different than the new wheel.
how to correct the problem is adjusting the tie rods aka toe. The wheel will not cause a pull if it pulled one way and now it pulls another you have worn out parts on the front end, aka tie rod or a ball joint is bad.
so if you want to correct the problem you have to adjust both sleeves that connect the tie rods to the rack equall amounts maybe 1/8 of a turn on the turn buckle taking each wheel in the same direction, that's lengthing one and shorting the other, that is how the alignment shop centers the wheel. I you've never aligned a car before then don't jack with it because you'll screw the toe setting up and that will wear your tires out faster than anything.
