Inside speakers for the TL
Okay the time has come where I wanna replace my inside speakers. Im trying to find out does the second generation TL take 6.5 front and 6x9 for the back? I'm also wondering what brands do other members have in there cars and how they sound. Plus what do you guys think about the boston acoustics, focal MB Quart Q series, Infinity Perfect, JL Audio and Polk audio speakers.
Let me know your opinion!!
Thanks in advance!

Front and back are 6 1/2". Front max mount depth is 3.25" and rear is 3" although I would stay within a 2" mount depth, because I heard there is a plastic thing right behind the stock speakers you would have to cut out and modify a bit. I just ordered speakers for my car, and the depth mount was the biggest concern I had.
I ended up going with Pioneer TS-A1682R's. Two people at different Best Buy's sold me on them. I was looking at Infinity Reference 6022SI just because it was a shallow mount, but when I heard them in person, they were too bassy, as I was looking mainly for highs to even out my subwoofers.
I should get some time soon to get em in, and I'm already plannin on doing a DIY for speakers, so if anyone is lookin for help and can wait a bit, I'll have it up.

Oh yea, Caligirl, I had Polks in my last car, and I loved them. All the speaker brands you mentioned are pretty good, but personally I'd stick with Infinity, Polk, or Eclipse (money being an issue for me as well)

^ Try just about any car stereo shop around. Most of them have a display setup with different types of speakers to listen to. You could also try Best Buy or Circuit City but they usually don't have a lot of selection when it comes to higher end speakers.
