Talking Ingall's Stiffy ETD mount

just want to let you all now that, Ingalls might be using my car, to be able to make a direct bolt-in of their stiffy mount for our cars
so it might help solve some of those motor mount issues, especially the side ones

http://www.ingallseng.com/93051-stif...accord-v6.html
link is for the newer accords though

Where is this going to mount? Up high or lower by the mounts?

will still help it, from the motor not being able to twist as much with just stock mounts

But this will help keep the motor from twisting so much reducing the stress on the front mount. I have an idea for a similar setup ill work on when i pull the motor to rebuild.

, no idea, that would be fully up to ingall's, and not me

but by looking at the similar kits, i would say $170-210, but that is just a guesstimate on my part

they should make mounts for the auto guys like we have in our 6spds. two dampers by the mounts (front and rear) that will improve wheel hop and make the mounts last a long time.

mounting it up high is ehhhhhhhh, it will do some of the work but wheel hop will still kill the mounts

$180 is kind of alot but engine mounts can add up plus the other damage that may happen form them breaking all the dam time.

as said i'm not in charge of that in any way, ingall's sets it, it just a guess on my part

as far as mounts adding up lol, i know the rear is like that price alone from the dealer, so yeah it can pay off in the end, if it prevents further damage

Yeah the dealer wanted to charge me like 260 for 2 mounts. I was having the tranny replaced and they found two broken mounts. Even if its around that price i'll prob get one.

and look at civic's mounts... (even before the stroker)

basically one more mount to help control the movement of the motor (that is also up higher, so more leverage for trying to stop the motor from rocking)

stock dampers are a joke, i compress that with my ands with little effort. one aftermarket damper is better than two stock ones

yes, i did pick it up , had to figure out a couple of things first, with the design (mainly if they can get the low side A/C port still accesible for service with out removing the mount (it clears no issue, you just can't get a coupler on it currently), then also try and clear up the instructions a little bit better, with more pictures and such

as far as pictures, heres a teaser

i am not going to actually put one out , till it is actually out, which is actually suppose (will happen probably, but stuff does come up though unforseen)to be around the end of the month

as far as it working loving it, and it seriously knocks down that engine movement with only stock mounts otherwise; increased noise, a little bit, but nothing bad though, but i do have it almost maxed out though , but you if you want stock noise levels, you be better off staying with ONLY the stock mounts

as far as stiffer bushings for it, i did ask about them, but not currently in the process though
