Does anyone know where or if it is possible to get an indash radar detector? i dont really want one but my mother says i need one cause i drive to fast. i am in ny. so if you guys can let me know thanx. dont want an out of dash it just looks terrible and would ruin the beauty of the tl dash..

I think you would have to have an audio shop custom install it.

i know of a place in New Jersey on rt 46 in lodi called Mobile Innovations. Ive seen cars that they install a valentine one display in the rear view mirror. A hot item but pretty pricey

I have an undetectable K40 front radar. The radar and laser units are installed behind the front bumper, and there are 2 small lights that I had installed on top of the steering wheel housing, one on the left corner and one on the right corner. There is also a control dial for volume\on\off, etc which is located down by my left knee. I love the radar! No one knows I have it until they hear it start to beep, and they're like, what is that? Where's it coming from?? Also, Passport has a nice remote unit...SR1 I think.
It has a control unit that needs to be mounted somewhere, not quite as nice as just the lights. Sorry I don't have any pics of the installation. Good Luck!

i think the SR1 is like $1000 though just for the unit.

The SR1 is actually pretty reasonably priced....less than the K40 that I have. But I liked the undetectable aspect of the K40 over the Passport. My friend just installed the SR1 in his X5...he had a K40 in his last BMW....he likes the SR1, but it falses more than the K40 does.
