Cool Immediate gratification (Tl-S Pics)

Drat! Wrong fog light shape!!! Not sure what to think of the new front grill either... Looks weird at an angle.. Nice looking wheels are a plus.

Side mirrors also look more svelte.. And there appears to be a possible foglight switch!

Looks like Tim might lose sales on taillights.. Otherwise the car looks like a real sleeper!!
**Can't take any credit for finding the pics. Just posted them from another post**

Question

Looks quite good, no surprises.

But...

Is that a (choke) chrome strip above the grille?

I definately like the emblem on the steering wheel. Overall, pretty much what i expected, and everything that I want.

Looks like the seats are the same as last years. Seems like it would be a bit of work to make the CL seat work in a TL. The CLs are made to fold down for back seat entry.

Maybe next year.

The seats are actually different. Look for the video link at the another thread: http://www.acura-tl.com/ubb/Forum14/HTML/000031.html

The TL part starts at about 07:00 of the 14 minutes video.

I am a Acura Coupe owner, and love Coupes. Among other reason why I never like the CL-S was the rear end,and front end. I always said the CL-S should have the TL's rear end, and then it would look nice. With the new TL-S, I would definately forgo the CL-S and get the TL-S, even though it has 4 doors The Tl's rear end just looks a lot better IMHO. I can't really see from the pictures, but I hope the TL-S did not get that funny smilie faced front lower grill that the CL-S got. Till today, I still can't get used to the look of the CL-S front and rear end.

I LOVE that look from the rear! Already has the Inspire lights in, 5 spoke wheels, 17" wheels/ tires, & that blue looks even better than the Monteray Blue, (IMHO) I could see having one like that! Hey you guys, don't get upset when a car company goes w/ things like the cleared out lights are used in production. You should be PROUD that this site, Snook, & others have helped changed the future of the TL/ TL-S. Hummm.. I wonder if they'll give me a good trade-in

Question

Is that the aegean blue? Based on the colors available on the 2002 chart, it says the new aegean blue only comes in ebony. Is that parchment color corresponding to that car seen here?

I wonder if Tim can get the steering wheel center pieces from the new TL. I'd love to have a new one with the Acura emblem on it.

Question

I think the emblem is so that they only have to mold one steering wheel cover for both the Accord and the TL, then just plug in whatever emblem suits.

Probably not, but justa thought.

That's my boy Einstein - it takes an engineer (or an accountant) to think like that!

Einstein: Even worse, they could actually be using a Honda steering wheel and just apply the emblem over it to make it an acura...I don't want to try it, but I wonder if you took it off if there would be an H under there...

How about a red emblem on the steering wheel? May be even a gold one with the gold option. I guess besides developing software, I can work in marketing as well.
