After waiting for several weeks from the time I signed the papers for a TL Type S, I can pick it up tommorow at high noon. Black on Black; and I got to touch it today....All I can say is the three months of decision making, the month of haggling and the one month of waiting were excrutiating. Reminded me of my first car (1971 Datsun 240Z) on several levels. I may be 40, but I feel like a kid!
Congrats.. Black/Black is soo nice.. Just watch the speedometer..
can't wait til I'm able to talk about my new car like that again.. maybe in 2003..
btw, you are from Canada, but you have a SocalTypeS avatar.. isn't that kinda strange?

Edub: Funny you should mention the speedo. I took a nice drive (solo) through the country yesterday evening. It's my wife's car so I get limited opportunities driving. I was enjoying myself going through the backroad twisties and finally looked down at the speedo. Wow! Just shy of 80mph. Speed limit was 45. Glad I didn't get caught.
Boy did the car feel good!

Congrats, bonehead!
Where did you end up making your purchase? The guy in Burlington wasn't that helpful nor was he willing to negotiate. I don't know many other dealerships in the horseshoe...
I was tempted to pick up a black model but my folks drive a black Volvo S70 and I didn't want to compete with them over colour. I like having a 'Type-S' exclusive colour to separate myself from the 'other TLs'... (Actually, there's a black Type-S here in Windsor but I haven't run into him/her ... yet ...

Thanks for the comments! To the guy in California, sorry now I know what socal stands for. I just like the moving "s" To the guy in Windsor, I got it from the Acura Dealership in Hamilton. It is under new ownership and has the same owner as the Honda dealership I have been dealing with for 15 years. They have been good to me.
To the guy in Hamilton, Ontario..
Socal stands for Southern California..
It just threw me off when I saw it.. but hey, whatever you like is cool.. against white, it looks fine.

Congrats - now take your new baby for a little cruise heading towards Buffalo....The thing I like best about Ontario is the fact that you folks drive fast, really fast - here in OH, just 30 miles across the lake, you just don't get smoked off the road when you're doing 90+mph (like I did by a whole string of folks driving on the 401)
In OH, 90+ will earn you a free ride to the joint...4 points on the license and high risk insurance
Enjoy!
