Question icebox intake from comptech

I was looking through the compech usa page for any new parts coming out. I found that comptech came out with an icebox for the integras. According to the graph, there was around +15 hp after the icebox installation. Is this for real?????????????? And are they making one for the TL??

YES !!!

Check their TL forum - I asked Mike B about it in May - they are making one for the TL. It will be sold seperately from the SuperCharger so that's what I'm waiting for on my stock intake '99

i checked out the site too, wondering if i should have waited b4 installing my aem cai, but it said it would be maybe just as good as the aem cai, maybe better. the only place where i saw the high hp gains (like 13 to 19) was in the integ gsr, but it had a big thing saying that car ALSO had exhaust and headers. if you look at the other graphs, its like average 3 or so hp gain. if im wrong, let me know

Thumbs up

Just remove the bottom resornator on your TL and put comptech high flow filter and you have a Cold air box. It performs as well as the CAI, but for only $59.00 Plus not as loud and anoying.

I thinking about installing this to a TL-S.......
If you install this with the assumption that it can produce 15 hp, then it is possible for a TL-s to reach damn near to 400hp!! with comptech header(~30hp), icebox(~15hp), mugen exhaust(~8hp), denso sparkplugs(~2 hp), and comptech sc (~75 hp).

260 hp + 30 hp + 15 hp + 8 hp + 2hp + 75 hp = 390 hp!!!
damn......you lucky bastards with TL-S.........:p

your math is alittle off all the other HP figures were at the wheels except stock HP so it's 200hp+30+15+8+2+75=330hp to wheels

You can't add up HP gains.

True . That is because on component might give you more or less HP when used with another component.

Also because components give different HP gains at different RPMs.

Dramatization:

Big Ped:
HEY GUYS, SOMEBODY WAS LOOKING FOR YOU?

You Guys:
WHO Big Ped, WHO WAS LOOKING FOR US?

Big Ped: "DEEZNUTZ"

You Guys:

Big Ped:
ha, ha, ha, ha, ha :p

Sorry, I know some of you won't get it and I know this is rather childish, but his name (DEEZNUTZ) reminded me of an old junior high or high school thing we used to do in NYC. I just couldn't help it. Thanks for your participation. Hope no one takes it personal. No harm intended, just something to laugh about, if that.

"hey hey, did WhatsHisName get at you yesterday?"

"who?"

"DEEZNUTZ!"
