On Saturday i was going to pick up a friend who was stuck at a gas station. I was driving on the street which is very straight and has 2 and sometimes 3 lanes on either side. Most of you Westchester guys know Central Avenue. I was in the hartsdale section. Anyways, I'm sitting at a light and this LS 400 with a younger guy is sitting next to me. The light turns green, his car squats, burns rubber and guns it to the next light. So im sitting at the next light with him which was still red. Turned Traction off, slipped it into SS and sat there just waiting. Light turns green i burn a little, but grip nice and i'm out in front, his nose to my door. Once vtec hits and i do the 1..2 shift i pull on him even harder. By about 70 i was like 2 cars ahead of him. Then we hit another light together. This time he keeps inching up. The ligh goes green. He spins i spin but he jumps out of the whole with more traction than me. This time its me at his door and him in the lead. But, once again, i hold first and hit v tec, do the 1..2 shift and pull on him hard. Once i hit v tec in second it was over. He was about a car behind me. It was a last gen model, like maybe a 95-98 model. The model that they restyled slightly in 98-00. His engine was screaming, i could hear it over mine. It was sick. I went to give him a thumbz up, but he looked pissed and didnt even look at me. We hit another light together, but he just rolled around slowly falling back and being cut off. It was a good experience and made me love my TL-P even more. That Big ass Lexus was bad as hell though. I would love one of them LS's.

dont you hate when people get mad when their car looses? i smoked this little ricer civic yesterday and he was looking at me like . so i just kept on driving while he turned to get on the interstate

I was driving down a state road here in Ft. Lauderdale at about 50mph when all of a sudden this Lexus IS300 screams past me. I'm almost positive it was a manual trans. car cuz I could hear the engine delay in shifting throws and it did'nt sound like sportshift. Anywayz we come to a light and this kid who was driving starts reving his engine, like he's badass or something...so I naturally play it cool and switch to ss...when the light turns green we pulled out pretty even, but when the VTEC kicked in he was in my rearview quickly, until the next light. So we go again and this time I get a better jump and totally waste him...HAHA he was so pissed he slowed down fast and faded back into traffic. I have raced alot of cars and the TL-P is more powerful then people think. Makes me glad I choose the Anthracite for the TL-P and did'nt go with another color just for the sake of getting the type-s.

civics are no problem, and even the ls is a slow car. they are stupid. the is300 is fun to race though

 

I dont think that guy know how to drive.. my bro has a 98 ls 400 and he race my tl-p every weekend. he spank me everytime after i hit 40mph or so. The ls400 has a bigass v8.

 

umm...... guess i have to stand corrected. the ls400 has 0-60 in 6.4sec according to edmunds.com. so unless it's a tls the ls400 will win.....

 

way to go, bigman. im there like everyday. which light was it neways? on the hartsdale side there only 2 blocks r so inbetween the lights. LS400, damn, finally the V8s go down!
