I need a mechanic in IL

Does anyone know of any good mechanics or shops in Illinois. I'm in the Chicago area but I would be willing to travel. I have a 02 TLS.

Thanx

I need some brake work done. New pads. rotors and I got the 95 legend calipers I want to put on. I'm also interested in getting the 105K mile servicing along with some other modifications eventually.

Hello all please PM with what you need done. I travel to the chicago area and have two good friends down there that i can use as references. I live in northern WI but used to live in chicago. I am ASE certified and also machinist and into performance. I have built two acura motors and done suspension and brake swaps.

I plan on a trip down in the next 2 months and if i line up work i will take a 4day weekend. I work my a$$ off so no worries

No offense but I would prefer a shop...and mainly because I know when they will be available as opposed to having to schedule a meet-up.

I've always gone to the cheap shops when I had my Chevy Malibu but now with the Acura, I'm abandoning them....but I can't even locate any Acura-specific shops on the north side of Chicago.

There has to be some shops in Chicago (on the north side)...not the suburbs...the furthest I'm willing to go is Evanston or Skokie.

Has anyone been to Honda Clinic aka Haas, Inc. on 4179 W Montrose/60641?

if you know what your doing than just do it at home, all most all maintenance can be done in a garage or drive way with some basic tools

and I have neither. I'm not rich. Having work done by someone other than yourself is usually because of the convenience and/or reliability factor.

but as mentioned, I really don't need anything specific done, I just want to know who I could go to when I do need work that's over my head. I plan on doing the 105k stuff myself; just got the 12lb Helm manual. Hopefully it's as easy as everyone is saying.
