I need help fast!!!!!

OK here it is. I can trade in my 01 TL for a TL-S with navi and I'm upside down $1800 on the TL (it's only eight months old). So, if I come up with $3800 total at lease signing, I'm looking at 48 months $470 per month.

What do you guys think????

Do NOT sign or do anything until you have all of the lease details - What's the money factor? What's the residual? How many miles per year? What is the full value of the car you're trading in? What are you putting down and where is that money going to be applied? What's the final price of the new car? What fees are you paying?

If you don't know the answer to these questions - you WILL be ripped off, and are not the right person to be even thinking about a lease or trade in.

You're a perfect candidate for my $5.00 lease spreadsheet :-)

BTW, I'm paying $356/month on a 42 month lease for a TLS w/o Nav with $2,500 down...

Yikes! That's a high lease payment . I put down the security deposit, first months payment, and about $150 for registration and am paying $530 a month (including tax) for 30 months on a TL-S w/Navi.

TEA ELLE,

You and I have been around on here for a while now and it's good to see that you are finally going up to the TL TYPE S. I think you will be more than happy with it, but remember the last time you bought a TL? The TYPE S came our right after it, which you are still kicking yourself on.

What happens if you buy your Type S and then right after that a totally new TL comes out? You can't catch up.

Eitherway you win, since you do get a great car for the time being. I just chose something different, since the look is pretty much the same for now, but the engine upgrade is beautiful.

Enjoy!

Dont do it! What happens if the 2003 comes in 6sp,more hp,more features, options than the 2002? Are you gonna go thru this hassle and trade-up again? I say keep your TL and in a few years it will be better.
I wont give Acura the satisfaction of trading in my 2001. Unfortunately, i didnt know about this site when i bought mine back in September, b/c i would have waited 6 months and bought the Type S.
