Has anyone had this problem its a 03 tls and just a coulpe of weeks ago its started humming really loud? I do have a aem cai but its been on for a couple years now i thought the throttle body was dirty so i took it all off and cleaned it but still humming. Let me know if you anyone has the solution to this problem thanks.

 

that should be normal. mine is loud too

 

well it should've been humming before, the resonator on the stock intake box is pretty effective, once I took it off I got the humming. Maybe check your CAI, might be leaking air

 

look to see if there is a hole in it where the mount attaches to the cai.

 

I check all those things and nothing im about to dump my cai its annoying.

 

stop worrying. it's normal to hear humming noise coming from your intake. there's nothing you can really do about it. either you stick with the humming noise and enjoy the cai or you dump it like you said and enjoy the peace , but no performance or sound (not like you will feel much anyways, but you get the idea).

so your saying that it never hummed before and now you are hearing it? These cars are known to hum from the intake. Did you check to see if the filter is on or not torn.

 

I checked everything its all good. But it just started humming not to long ago and i have had the intake on for over a year.

 

it would have hummed from the beginning Unless the mount broke off or the filter came off are the only reasons it would start. Nothing else.

 

i've got a 03 tl-s and it does the same thing... i kinda like it

 

i have the same v2 intake, with an 03 tl-p... i got the same humming ever since i got the intake. i kinda like it too, but recently i dropped on tsudo exhausts. now the humming is gone, but i hear the growling... =]

 

Im gonna dump it i cant stand the way it sounds gonna go back to stock airbox anyone want mine you can have it. Its my wifes car anyway lol.
