Unhappy Huge Electrical Problem! Help!

my poor car is having huge electrical problems.. any of you who are knowledgeable, please help! i will document teh current problem in stages

Stage 1:
Driver's side HID headlight blows out at night in rain storm. 6000K HID bulb is undamaged and works fine. Problem most likely stems from water seeping into the ignitor or the ballast. I need to determine which part failed and replace.

Stage 2:
The next morning, I'm driving around early while it is still dark. With my lights to their fully on position, I notice some strange things. The parking lights and marker on both sides no longer work. Both signals still work perfectly when flashed. Both high beams glow at about 30% intensity even when they are not switched on. When the high beam is switched on, only the passenger side high beam lights up at full intensity, while the driver's side shuts off. All interior lights (guage, vanity mirror, navi controls, etc.) are so dim that they cannot be seen, regardless of how you turn teh dimmer switch setting.

Stage 3:
Later on that day, I start the car, and the 'check engine' light and 'SRS' light turn on and constantly stay on all the time.

...
does anyone know what in the world is going on?
please advise!

Sounds like water seeped into your headlights and is shorting things out. First off STOP driving your car with the lights on, you are just doing more damage.

Next I would take the headlight off and drain the water out of it. Check the ballast and ignitor separately by alternating between the blown side and good side to determine which piece is exactly blown, and then replace it. Allow everything time to dry out, and keep your fingers crossed that it all works well. If not, you may need a trip to the dealer to properly diagnose the problem.

you cleared out your headlight? you'd better swap yours out with someone else right now before going to dealer
