how to stop exhasut sway?

is their anywayto prevent the exhaust from swaying...i think it makes the car look so ****ing cheap...i had the car up on a lift the other day and the whole exhaust system is only hun but teh mufflers...and the next hangar is all the way by the cat:wow:....whats up with that....not only that..but the mufflers only have 2 hangars each on a diagonal..that makes for to much flex...what were the acura engineers thinking....anyone have a fix?

If they're too rigidly bolted onto something, the pipes may crack and/or break from the pressure when the car is going over rough terrain. That's what the engineers were thinking. I've seen a lot of other high end cars with this issue.

If the exhaust is rigidly mounted underneath the car, all the exhaust vibrations and resonances will be transmitted inside the car. Then you'll start complaining about noises and vibrations.

AMEN to this. This is one of the reasons why you don't hear anything from under the car plus as explained before, if its to rigid, the whole exhaust system could crack, don't worry about this things that's the way is supposed to work.

use zip ties on the hangers. or some sort of tie. minimizes the swaying. n wont melt the ties since its on the hangers
