I D/C'ed my vafc and reconnected it by mistake and the stupid check engine light came on and wont go off. I know theres no problem with the car, so is there a way to turn off the check engine light w/o d/c'ing the batt because when i d/c the batt, the radio requires a code and I have to always take it to acura b/c the codes they gave me never work. Is there a fuse or something I can pull?

 

Go to AutoZone and ask them to scan it. It might sound bad if you just went in and asked them to simply reset it, so act like you don't know what it is, get it scanned, and ask them to reset it for ya.

 

Try disconnecting the battery...Make sure you have radio code and navi code(if applicable) and reconnect after 10 min.

 

i dont want to d/c the batt cuz theres a prob w/ my radio where I have to take it into the dealer b/c the codes dont work unless they do their stupid thing.

Hello ballers i reacently purchased 2002 type-s To weeks laker my check light and SRS light are both on. Their is nothing wrong with car do I have to take it to a dealer to get the lights removed. I also would likke to ask what kind of lowering springs should I look into buying! thanks dave!

 

Just get a OBD scanner, it really comes in handy! ...they have one on sale at Advance Auto Parts for $99 and its normally $150 something...
