hello has anyone else had their tranny die after oil jet kit instlled ,,mine was fine.. fluid pink a month later slipping and fluid looks like motor oil..hint of pink

30 days after they installed the kit, my tranny started to act weird in 2nd gear
I took it to the dealer for inspections, they checked it and told me that the fluids are Ok and everything looks fine and they have no idea what I am talking about (weird whistling noise, hard shifting from 2nd, jerking forward...) but for them it was normal.
So after I left the dealer 5 min. later the tranny stayed in 2nd and it was almost impossible to shift into 3rd or 4rt
I took it back, they tried again and told me that my tranny is going to
Today, one week later I pick up my car.
I like the shifting, smooooth....
Not sure if its true but they told me that they installed a brand new tranny (not a rebuild or something) and they also told that there was no problem with these new trannys.
This is what I got in the papers so maybe someone tell me what was done beside the tranny change

OH BTW....for you guys that have been to PARK AVE ACURA in NJ.....the place is freakin AMAZING....they have a FLEET...yes a FLEET of brand new 04 TLs loaners (could be 05s....dunno).....it's amazing. ANYWAY-......just let them look at it. i know they aren't the smartest, (they told me the reason my gas pedal was sticking was because of an improper floormat)......(it wasn't the floormat).....
they can have a fleet of 05 rls.... but if they dont know what there doing, they aint touching my car

the jet kit does not cause the tranny to fail. it simply shoots tranny fluid at teh 2nd gear shaft to keep it lubricated.




the part that keeps failing is the 3rd gear clutch pack, its a completly different and unrelated problem and the oil jet kit is not designed to keep that from failing. honda needs to step up and recall this part. this is the problem that we are all having and they have not upgraded it

with the jet kit you remove the 12mm bolt that holds the jet kit in and pull straight up. its in the normal fill hole on the tranny
Cool, thanks I was wondering if that was possible, because I am thinking of doing the tranny fluid at the same time I do the oil change in preperation for the winter storage.
Can you tell me how much tranny fluid I will need..???

only 3.1 qts will drain out when you remove the drain plug for the tranny fluid
