Why are you trying to get into the center console? the switches pop out. And odds are its not teh switches. Its mostlikely the seat heater elements them selves

my switches sometimes, if i leave them on, then get back to car with them on "on" position already, they dont heat up. i just switch off then on again. weird.

By taking the switch out you wont see anything. You could test teh wires if you know what wire does what. The heater elements in our cars are known to go bad. You can take the switches out a few ways. the easiest is to take a small flat head screw driver and carefully pry up on the little trim panel area that holds them in. Pop it up and you will gain some access to them Pop them out of that then and then reseat the trim. Pull them thru all the way and unplug.
Or you can take the center console apart to get to them. That you have to pop the wood trim off, unscrew the screws holding the rear console on (including the 2 in the bottom of it) slide it back some then unscrew the screws holding the side panels on. you will also have to remove the lower knee panel (held on with 1 screw in the drivers side fuse panel) then you can remove the side panel to gain access to pop the switches out.
But id bet its all going to be a waste of time to do so.

if the light on the switch comes on wouldn't that show that the switch is fine?
