A friend of mine can get me the Wings West Acura OEM style spoiler for $140. I think that's a pretty good deal. But I want to
know how much is it going to cost to get it painted and installed?
I have a ABP TL-S with Navi. The dealer told me that it is harder to install the spoiler on the Navi model car, is that true?
Any good recommendation as of which body shop to get the spoiler painted and installed around Bay area?

I installed my painted OEM spoiler that I got from this site. My car has Navi and I can't see a difference between Navi and non-Navi, it was not an issue what so ever. The only issue I had was were to connect the spoiler LED. Tim emailed me some suggestions and I was done. No problem.

 

what tool is needed to installed an already painted spoiler?
do you need to drill holes on the car?

 

is it the flush mount or OEM style??

I can get Wingwest spoiler...painted...installed for 220 or 260 forgot...around there though

You gotta drill. My wife said how can you drill holes in your new car? It scared me at first, but the kit came with the template and I had no problem. I just took my time and made sure the alignment was were I wanted and went for it! It's straight forward no big deal. I went through the same thing with my $10,000 GSX-R1000 motorcycle, but the big rear fender had to go.

I am not sure how much you saved. It cost me $200 to have it painted and installed because my spoiler came un-painted.

 

That's true. What did you pay for the unpainted spoiler?

 

I paid $125 for the spoiler shipped. $150 for them to paint the spoiler and $50 for them to install it. I got a discount because I paid cash and they were asian as am I. Haha. They were one of the more reputable shops in my area.

 

I paid $305 shipped from this site. So looks like I only saved $25. Not that much really. I did get some knowledge of Honda engineering along the way.

 

its more work on a navi tl because if you change the trunk springs you have to remove the navi unit in the trunk. when putting on a spoiler it needs stronger springs to open the trunk farther

 

When I engage the remote trunk release it opens the same with or without the spoiler. Also when I open the trunk completely it stays open with no problems.

Where did you get it done in MA? i"m thinking about getting the WW spolier but i'm worried about getting it painted and not matching my car. Did you try to get any Acura Dealer to paint it?
