Question How much do you pay for oil change?

Just got my TL and wonder about how much does everyone pay for an oil change for this car? Do you go to dealer or local mechanic stores?

I paid $21 for the dealer to do it. Make sure they change the washer on the drainplug. The dealer will do it without being told, but you never know about the quickie lube places. As soon as my new house is done and I have a garage again, I think I might do oil changes myself.

$9.25 for oil and filter at my Certified Honda/Acura repair shop.
15 minutes in and out. Best place I have EVER been to. ALL my work is done there, and it costs 1/3 of the local Dealer. (there is a HUGE client base, with a large Honda delaer and an Acura delaer in town).

$0.00 at the dealer.

Free oil changes for life from my dealership for buying the car there.

(as long as I do my services there too)

My Acura dealer charges $25. Sometimes he gives out cards for a free one. However, I wouldn't pay $25 when I can do it in my driveway for $10 with an aftermarket filter or a little more with the genuine Honda part. My next change will be that way.

$35 @ Superior in KC. I negotiated 4 free ones. I get coupons from Superior in the mail for $25 oil changes.

I go to my friends shop, borrow his lift and tools, steal his oil, take a filter, and I'm good to go.. If he charges me anything, it's like $10

Wow, really? Where are my coupons?

I wonder if Frank Ancona Honda will change my oil. They charge $28 for the Accord as I recall.

Mine comes quarterly. Talk to your sales guy and have him put you on their mailing list.

Do you need a lift to change the oil on the TL? I live in an apartment complex and I don't have my own garage...

$27.00 is the average that Acura Dealers are charging in the Windy City. I usually ask my sales guy to comp me an oil change in exchange for sale referrals.

I always do the oil change myself because in that case, I'd have the best oil and filter. Mobile 1!
