I've been reading this forum for a few weeks now and have learned a lot about the TL. I am 99.9% convinced that I will be purchasing the TL(gees, I sound like MJ).
I was wondering how much you guys purchased your TL's for? I wanted to find out when the 2003 model is coming out and see if they make any type of improvements from the 2002 model, if not, I'll just go ahead and get the 2002 model.
I want to get the TL w/o navi in Anthracite metallic, OEM spoiler and underbody kit, trunk tray, wheel locks, wood trim steering wheel, and burlwood shiftknob. I went to the Acura website and it quoted me ~$32K. Do you think that it's possible that I can negotiate with the dealer and get it down between $30-$31K?
What's the invoice price on a 3.2TL?
Thanks in advance.

If you are even the least bit handy, order the OEM spoiler and underbody kit, trunk tray, wheel locks, and burlwood shiftknob from Tim here at http://www.autocaparts.com.
You should be able to install all that stuff in less than a day. Piece of cake.

polo,
You're looking for a TL w/o Navi?? Meaning non TL-S right??
If a TL-S w/Navi can be bought for about 31,500 then I'd say a TL-P w/o Navi can be got for about 27,500~28,000. Add on the options, and that's probably another $2000.. try and negociate for at least a couple of those things for free like the wood steering wheel and shift knob..
There hasn't been much info out on the 2003 TL, but chances are there won't be many differences at all.
I would highly recommend getting the Navi though.. I regret not getting it all the time in my TL..

My situation may not help you since it was a '01 TL, but it listed for $31K. There were only three WDP TL's w/NAVI in the Chicago area, so I wasn't in the best negotiating position. I ended up getting it for $29K. Once I added the wing, gear shift nob, and wood trim, it was just over $30K.
At that time I didn't know about this site.

Price depends on where you are. Where I am, there's not great choice in dealers (only two). I ended up paying almost sticker for my '02 TL (non-S, non-navi). If you're in an area where there are several dealers, or are willing to drive for an Internet quote, your goal is quite realistic. Dealers overcharge for mods like the ones you want--I agree with NSXNEXT in that you should buy the parts. You and/or a buddy can put them on for cheaper than your Acura dealer can.... and you support this site.
(where's my commission, Tim?
)
Hope this helps.

My wife just bought hers for $27800, non-navi. I thought it was too high but she really wanted the red. (paid extra from $27500 to get it shipped in). Where they really screw you is the trade in. We ended up selling our car to Carmax since they offered $1600. more.

Thank you for the information that you've provided me. I'm definitely going to negotiate for some of the accessories. They have two dealerships in my area, so I will go to both and see who will give me the best offer.

But $33,710 is the highest factory sticker price you can get.

Dealer cost onTypeS w?O navi
Dealer cost $28,687 Type S W/ O Navi. The dealer wanted $2100 for the under body, and $850 for the springs installed with 4 wheel alignment. You can get the underbody from this site for 829 plus 60 for shipping and approx $200 for install from a import shop. Springs for $179 and $120 for install .I bought my Type S silver for 29,980. A fair price considering there weren't any available, and was an incoming unit.

OK ummm Is it me or does my town acura dealer like to rip everyone off. My car stickered in at 31k without navi, without any wood or anything. It had dealer installed side strip, fender things, and mud flaps. WE got the Car off the Lot for 30k wit tax and title. So i got a 30k base model TL where else i could have got it for 26k.

I got my 2002 TL-S non/navi White Diamond Pearl with wheel locks and mud gaurds, a dealer tint job and what the dealer called antirust spray for the underbody of the car for $30,225 driveout. Thats with tax, title, license and registration included in that price. Don't know if that was a good deal or not but that was the best I could get from all the dealers I went to.

The dealer tint didn't look any different then other tint.. Just that it came with a lifetime warrenty so no matter what happens I can just bring it back to the dealer and they'll take care of it for me. The Dealer is really nice with good service.. when I brought the TL in for the Tint they gave me another NEW TL off the lot as a loaner car...
