How to modify gauges?

I have seen pictures where people have modified their indiglo gauges so that they will fit the 99TL nnd i was wondering how that was done....any help will be received with graditude.

Just make a rectangular cutout at the gear indicator area and you are set. Here is a pic

so i can cut it with a knife or anything without causin any harm?

Yup, just cut it with exacto or something sharp. I sealed the edges with some glue to prevent mositure from getting in. So far no problems at all
