Uno!

Actually, it wasn't really a recall though. The Acura dealer called it the "seatbelt buckle update".

You can search this database for this info and more: http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/

There were no recalls listed for 99-01 TLs, although there were quite a few TSBs for these years of TLs. Most was squeak/creak info, and also some technical stuff. Nothing new that I saw that has not at one time or another been posted here.

I think the 2000 TL have some trouble with the ECU computer. The engine check light will come on, and have trouble starting your car. I have problem with the already shity TCS as well. I don't think they have a TSB for the ECU, well Acura sucks what can you say.

well SL, I can say that you are pretty darned unlucky. I guess i'd be whining too. no problems with mine (yet)that are an issue @36k miles, and anything of concern has been addressed by the dealer. I know...an anomoly as far as dealer experiences are concerned.

I got two recalls:

for the 99: The induction system problem - something with the EGR hose I think. I had already sold the car so I don;t recall exactly.

for the 00: The seat blet buckle. Have not heard or had any problems with ECU, hard starting, or TCS - sounds like a local problem.

My "SRS" red light came on and stayed on. Turned out it was the seat belt (buckle) recall problem. Dealer replaced both buckles.

Just had my seat buckles replaced today due to the SRS light staying on. Part of the recall/warrenty I guess ...
