How many degrees for alignment to be noticeable?
I have searched some of the posts about 4 wheel alignments but couldn't find specific reference to my question. I am wondering what the thresolds are on the TL Toe settings, and also looking to verify if that is the only setting that can be adjusted on our cars without additional kits. I just got mine done and it was .09 total toe in the front vs. .03 in after the alignment and .08 in the back vs. .07 afterwards. Is that a significiant change? Any help would be appreciated.
the front, yours may be aa little noticeable, the back, no, not really, usually every full degree you'll start to notice depending on what your adjusting. in a race car you'll notice it more in turns, in a luxury sedan getting groceries, no, you wont. adjusting it on my first mustang i noticed right away taking corners, but you sacrifice tire wear also.
Yes...as you approach a full degree, you should become concerned... Whether you decided to do anything about it is a different story...
But I have been told the rule of thumb is a full degree...
This is why I have a camber kit on the rears... After I had the car lowered, the fronts were able to be adjusted within less than a degree... but the rears needed a little more adjustment range...

Thanks for the info, so it probably was a waste of money for them to realign it that little? Oh well, at least I know it is accurate now. I still have to compensate a little by turning the wheel to the left slightly to keep the car straight going down the road which is annoying.
Toe makes a HUGE difference on tire wear. Toe will wear tires faster than camber. the more (up to like 1/4 or so deg) will make turn in alot better but will make the car a little darty under braking.it will also cause the inside of the tire to wear. If you still have to hold the wheel off center to go straight bring it back. it should track true and straight
