the bolt is on the right side on the tire, you open that and the oil falls out, and since the oil filter is also near by that that out then after all the oil is gone replace the filter and screw the bolt on and fill the car with new and clean oil. done its about 15 min job, but if you warm the car up before draining the oil flow will be faster.

How many bottles will each car take?
there is a TL and Integra.
What is a good brand/weight?
Also, is the bolt and filter on the integra in same place? Do I have to raise the cars?

its about 3 and a 1/2, you can go 4 you want 5w-20 but you can got with 5e-30. i',m not sure about the integra but you might have to raise the front if your oil pan is big.

I use to use whatever oil is on sale. But now, I use RedLine Synthetic Oil. I used about 4 quarts, maybe 4.5. An integra would probably use 4 or 4.5 quarts as well.

It's better to over buy and keep a few quarts on hand in your garage.

Don't buy FRAM filters. They are pretty much garbage. I bought the top of the line filter at Pep Boys. I forgot what it's called, but it was like $8 bucks or something. Purolator Premium or something like that.

How hard is it? Well, I just changed the oil the other day and boy, I wasn't prepared for the tremendous spurt/gush of oil that poured out of the oil drain plug opening! Even after positioning the oil drain bucket to account for this and putting cardboard right underneath the pan and nearby, the oil still shot out like Peter North! Got all over my arm and spurted a foot or two past the opening all over my garage floor.

Perhaps next time I'll keep the oil filler cap on until after I remove the drain plug...

how to contain the mess....

My dad use to use an old baby tub to collect the waste oil. Might work if you can fit it underneath. You Eibach/H&R investors might trouble with that though.

Purolator, is pretty good but i recently saw that k&n now make oil filters. i know the frist time to get the stock oil filter out is tough i even bought a oil filter wrench at pep boys and it really helped but after that its really easy to get it off.

I have been using K&N oil filters for the last 5 oil changes, very good so far. My prefer oil is 5w-30 redline about $8 a bottle.

IMHO I believe that one can't go wrong with the OEM Honda filter; I've heard too many stories about cheaply-made Frams that actually don't allow oil to flow back out of the filter adequatly, and I don't think that an $8 oil filter is going to make that much of a difference over a $4-and change one, which is what I paid for the OEM filter.

Lucky for me the grease monkeys at the dealership didn't super-torque the oil filter on, as I was able to remove mine without the need of an oil filter wrench or even worse, the "punch a screwdriver through the filter" method...

There are 2 types of Purolator oil filters. One is the crappy one and the other one is decent....well that's what I've been reading on people doing their own independent research.

Sooo....if you have data or research or know more information, please enlighten me as I am always looking for better products.
If you know that both filters are terrible, what are your recommendations?

Thanks!

Oil changes on the 'Teg are ridiculously easy. The drain plug and filter are easily accessible. 4 quarts of 5W-30; but RT(F)M for your temperature range...

I also replace the aluminum washer with a new one; they're like $0.25/each at the dealer.

And they're just as easy on a TL (at least the '02+ ones).
I especially like the fact that the oil filter is mounted upside down instead of sideways...

So far the K&N so good. Is hard to determine which one is the best, but I heard that mobil1 filters are also good. I'm sticking with K&N for now.
