How do you install a VTEC controller?
#2
Honestly it seems like a lot of work for nothing. The only time you realize any benefits at all from a VTEC controller is if you have all of the mods... Intake, Exhaust, Headers, Pulleys, Spark Plugs, etc. The main mods are the intake, headers and pulleys.
From what I've read....installing it isn't really that hard, it's tuning it properly. Even those who have it tuned properly are only seeing ~5hp maximum gains from it. All that time to install and tune it and only ~5hp.... not worth it in my book.....

but it looks hot as hell...
if you're gonna do it, definitely have it installed in the sunglass holder:wow:
if you do want it just for the power increase, don't bother...its mostly a cosmetic mod, just another toy...

Look up Jaker on the A-CL.com board. Frog Engine Controls has a wiring harness. This makes the V-AFC a "plug-n-play. It is about $170 but well worth it. You could likely install it but it is critical to have it dyno tuned. Best leave it to a pro.
