Im not sure if you can replace the individual LEDs.. you might have to order a new strip from the dealer.

i think he might be refering to micheal knight (Knight Rider)... if so good joke, if not i dont get it. at my dealership they had the strips in red or white(red l.e.d.s but white casing.) i think it just screw on the underside of the spoiler.

Anyway, did you know that Mr.Feeny on Boy Meets World is the voice of Kitt. mind boggling

Just use a stubby screwdriver.

If you get a new LED strip from a dealer you're gonna spend a pretty penny. An option would be to call a couple of junkyards in your area. Also, contact a company like Spoilerdepot, that makes OEM spoiler copies.

When the LED went out on my Integra, I was able to get a replacement from a junkyard for $20.

Like he said, 4 screws... no biggie NOW the hard part... keeping the slack in the wire and DONT let the wires that you disconnect FALL INSIDE!!! You will have a bitch of a time getting it back out.

does the led unit unplug at the unit or do you have to rerun all of the length of the wire?

I think it you splice or it can be unplugged... i changed it out while the spolier was on 5 years ago and don't recall having to rerun the wire.
