If yes.....engine balancing should be done.

A 6 cylinder TL should be very smooth, partially due to the 6-cyl design, and also because it has self-adjusting hydraulic engine mounts.
The most smooth is probably an inline-6 (120 degree - your TL is a V-6, not an inline 6). 8 cylinder engines (US/GM ones) tend to have a lot of mass and make the car "wobble" while they idle.

my engine is rather more noisy as well...and during accleration from 1K to 2500K the sound is weird! but then again..i'm just being picky again. but my steering wheel has some vibration when i'm at idle with the A/C on.

I have try just about everything and I haven't been able to get rid of it.
I even replaced the all the engine mounts and the transmission mount.

Or an engine treatment? I know they're probably just snake oil, but some people swear by them. However, a few bucks for a cheap fix may be better then $5K for engine balance.

"Noise?!?!" ....."Noise?!?!?! " Would you call a Mozart Symphony "noise?" Most that gather here, I would hope, are looking for ways to better enjoy the "noise" that our cars make. There's nothing more beautiful than the whine of the supercharger, the spooling up of the turbo, and the humm of a perfectly tuned exhaust. mmmm... I'm getting myself excited. Well, keep this in mind.

I happen to like the sound (or near lack thereof in this exceptionally quiet car) of the engine whether idling or accelerating. What's the fuss about?
I guess my car is still too new for this...
