How can I trick the CPU...HELP!!

How can I trick the CPU, so my car doesnt run rich and consume as much gas. I replaced my catalic converter w/ a straight test pipe a month ago. Now my car runs richer and consumes wayyyy more fuel. I'm at 100miles when i hit 1/2 tank. I usually get like 150miles when i hit 1\2 tank. I'm like wtf!?? Something is wrong. So my friend and I did some test w/ some program he has on his palm pilot. After we hooked up the palm pilot to the cpu, we did some WOT runs. We noticed the car was running richer, more fuel consumed. Then we cleared the engine codes and did another WOT run. We noticed that w/ the engine code cleared, the car wasnt consume as much fuel. He told me there is a way i can trick the cpu by doing something w/ the O2 sensor in the straight pipe??? Does neone know??? If not, I guess I'm gonna put back on my cat. cuz damn, gas getting expensive.

You dumped the cat without getting an O2 simulator. What did you think was going to happen?

Get an O2 simulator and that should fix the situation.
