Honda inspire tranny????

I was thinking about maybe getting a Honda insipre tranny from hmotors for a decent price. Do you guys think it would make a difference in reliablity? Would it last longer?

doubt it, i think they were still made in same factory (marysville, ohio)

They were made in a variety of different places, including Ohio and Sayama, I believe. But fact of the matter is that they're the same transmission.

I was at a JDM Import shop who had C32A tranny, Which is the same tranny as ours but of a 2003 Honda Inspire that was made for and driven in japan. And yes the salesman confirmed it was the same tranny as our USDM ones. There is no JDM tranny, our trannies were built here and used in Japan. You will encounter the same problem with both USDM and JDM trannys.

Start believing. The car is built here and gets teh same stuff (except they get a different engine option)

Do you think that you can go to the factory and ask to buy parts? I always wondered if I could pick up a shell and swap in the 2.5 motor to some other car for a beater.
