Thumbs up HOLY SH!T!

Just got an email for an offer on my M3. Not sure how serious, but this person just offered me $80K if I don't drive the car at all. Where is area code 973? This dude wants me to call him tomorrow. Holy Sh!t. Man, too good to be true...if so, the car's his! Wish me luck guys and gals.

I agree. I live in the 973 area code (East Hanover, Morristown area, Parsippany, etc.)
Damn, good luck. You can pass some money over to me if it's too much for you to handle.

The BMW dealer told me that there's this group that constantly searches all over the country for their customers for any cars they want. The sales guy told me about it and said "I think you can pick up a quick $10K if you sold your car right away, as a courtesy would you like me to pass your name and phone and email to these finders" I said hell, sure since I was planning on selling it anyway and I don't have to deal with eBay or crap like that.

Well it turns out that this dude is pretty serious. Talked to him today and the deal is, the day I pick up my car, he'll be there with me to write a check out to me for $80K minus MSRP (roughly $55K). He doesn't want me to purchase it, he'll do it. I think he wants to be sure I don't even drive it a 1/4 mile. He lives in Holmdel, NJ. It's funny cuz I use to work for Lucent and he use to work for them as well. Well, if it all works out, I think I'm gonna get me a Range Rover 4.6HSE.

Make sure it's a certified cheque or bank draft. Don't accept a regular cheque.

Cars in that price range rarely go for MSRP.

This reminds me of the PS2/eBay fiasco. Hmmm... I see a money making opportunity here. I'm gonna head over to my local BMW dealer later today.

Hope it happens for you. Why don't you think about investing it in a few seriously beaten up big name tech stocks. The market will come back - could easily double your money. Or if you have to buy a car, why don't you buy something that will go UP in value, not down. Cars are big money pits. Buy a project car and slowly restore it or a finished driver to cruise around in on those weekend afternoons. Good luck!

Personally, I think the Lexus LX470 is a joke of an SUV. Minus the Hummer, IMO the Range Rover and the MB "SUV" not the ML, are the only REAL SUV's. Plus, have you driven a Ranger Rover 4.6HSE...OMG!!

I sat and took a ride on it , I know it's wonderful and what's it the feature that enables the car to shifts down when someone sit on it. That's indeed sophisticated , but imo , i won't spend too much money for an SUV. Have you considered E 55 AMG (shud be easy to find it on ebay if u don't mind a used car). Or maybe a Porsche ???

I agree, one of the greatest SUV's out there, except for the MB Galendenwagen and Hummer, a friend of mine had one... very nice... but be prepared to visit the dealer at least once a month... they do have great service though and give you a loaner Discovery... but I don't think you want to get a car to have it sit in the shop...
