Holes in trunk lid
I had a spoiler on my trunk and I was going through the do it yourself car was the the rubber hose got caught on my side mirror so I eased it out and it slipped right of so I pushed the gas and the damned rubber hose got caught on my spoiler and ripped it off. I was soooo pissed because I had just gotten my car out of the shop from getting engine work done on it for the past days.
To make a long story short, I have been driving around with 5 little mounting holes in my trunk filled with hot glue for the past few months and I finally decided it is time to fix it. I don't want the spoiler back on because I like the way it looks better without it on there. Can I just use bondo to fill the holes and then have a body shop repaint it or am I going to have to buy a new trunk lid? I have someone in the blackmarket that has offered one to me for $175 + shipping and it comes with the trunk lip which I like but I would still have to have it painted.
Suggestions?

I'm not too sure how big those holes are but I'd recommend getting it welded. It's just the best way. But if you want to go the cheap way, you can bondo it, but there's aways a chance that it could crack, and fall off. Then if your trunk is already painted, it'll chip off your paint. Just something to think about. I had holes in my trunk for my old car, and I welded it shut, and then paint it. So it's up to you on what direction you wanna go.
There are about 5 holes and they were just holes big enought o fit a bolt through to hold on the spoiler. Not even as thick as a pencil. I will ask the body shop today to see what they say. Thanks for the responses.
Call around all the salvage yards in your town to see if they have a matching trunk lid. Since most cars are totalled due to damage in the front it shouldn't be too hard to find a good used trunk lid. It's definitely gonna be cheaper than getting work done that isn't guaranteed to last. Another plus is that the paint will be the same age as your car so it will match up better.
