HKS Exhaust or Comptech...

I want the HKS exhaust every since I saw it on GOT PSI's car, it looks so tight... Anybody have any pics of it on a TL, think it would be louder than Comptechs??? I only got good responses from PSI, would it look cheap on a TL... I know the Comptechs are second to none, they are shiny, but the tips are a little too small...Damn, this is the hardest decision that im gonna have to make, please help me in making it...Shyne

i thinkt he comptech one looks bad. You can't get the HKS one right now anyway. Snook ran out of them and they are on backorder. I ordered three weeks ago and HKS just isn't giving any up rite now.

The HKS one looks 10X better.. i think. please post more pics if any of you has the HKS drager on a TL

The HKS definately looks so much sportier from the side, way better than the comptechs...I would go with it, I just dont want it to look big and bulky like the tanabe hyper medallions look like from the rear...those things just dont look right from the rear on a TL...I hope these wont look like that...I think the poll count is 3 to zero right now...Shyne

How much does the HKS exhausts cost?

BTW, I am getting exhausts next spring/summer so I am in the same position.

Like 500$ bucks and its a bill cheaper than the comptechs...I dont know why they dont go down on those things...I was talking to Tim over the phone and he said that its hard to break even with those things, said comptech keeps on raising their prices...Shyne

Shyne:
Wow those things are hella big! Man...the non-human fearing squirrels that eat small children on campus here would SO crawl in one of those...I can't even imagine...

Looks awesome if you like big 'ol exhausts like that...looks like a pair of bazooka tubes mounted under the car...probably sounds like it too

TypeS, yes HKS does make a cat-back super dragger exhaust too...A little more higher than the axel back, but still looks the same...Shyne

OK i love the HKS... but i dont think it will look right on a TL. It looks great on the CL cuz it has bigger cut outs for the exhaust tips.

Thats why i went with Comptech.

Wouldn't there be some modification necessary to fit the HKS to TL? If not, I would go with HKS. It looks 100 times better than Comptechs... although I personally have Comptechs. If it is a direct bolt on, I am ready to trade in my comptechs!!

SLVR, it is direct bolt on application...Plus it uses all the factory mounting points for the easiest installation...What is your opinion, I think it would look hott on the TL reguardless of the cutouts...Crazy, you just mad cuz you wish you got the HKS...Shyne

i'm not sure man..hmm...cuz the cl has a larger cut into the bumper for the exausts so it looks good...but our tls, only have a lil cut into the bottom of the bumper...good thing aobut CPs are that they are proprtional to that cut and fit there...those hks ones are definately good looking, but i dont think they will look very good on our tls...specially if u have the oem bod kit, it'll be awkard...

Not till someone does it first. I want to see first hand how it looks on TL. If it looks good, then I will strongly consider it.

GOT PSI?'s CL-S is my Bro in Law. HKS looks really good on his car, but for my TL-S I would consider smaller tips like the Comptechs. Considering custom exhaust with Magnaflow Mirror Finish Stainless Steel Mufflers with 4" double wall tips, angle cut, 7" length tips. What do you guys think?

Shyne,

Lemme kno when you get it, man. I wanna see how it looks like. If it's tite, I'm gon get me a pair.

BTW, how does it sound compared to Comptechs? Deeper? I don't want it too loud... I think Comptechs sound very nice. Although you can hardly hear it. That probably is the good part. It doesn't attract too much unwanted attention.
