This may have already been answered here but I was just wondering if I can replace the factory HID bulb with any aftermarket bulb as long as it is a D2R HID? Ive purchased multiple HID kits from ddmtunning and have been pleased with the performance and the price. I just want to make sure that the HIDs I get from them, or any other company are going to be plug and play with my oem ballasts. Thanks in advance.

 

As long as you buy a 35 watt D2R bulb (D2S will also fit just fine and is virtually the same, minus a nearly negligible shield on the bulb) you will be fine!

I haven't ordered D2R from ddmtuning, but their kit I have as fogs work just fine. For my low beam I have XB35s from TRS (The Retrofit Source) and love them.

 

Just a reminder, it's recommended to replace both sides at the same time.
